I have a neighbour who has recently changed jobs – instead of being a toxocologist at the local very prestigious testing establishment, where the very name causes all to almost salute . . . . she is now a science lab assistant in a very large educational establishment. She absolutely loves the new job. Something different every day – not just rigorous testing day after day. The college has to allow students to try many different things and she liaises with the science teacher as to suitability and viability of the tests invesaged. She is also partly responsible for the cleaning of the test lab and ensuring all the delicate equipment is stored away safely.
The actual labs are cleaned professionally by the site agent team of cleaners – one particular one is assigned to their scient block to ensure standards are maintained, especially around examination time. The wonders of college these days.
